    Please help to identify. Thanks.

    Good morning everybody!
I am newbie and just started learning about electronics and soldering.
I would be greatly appreciated if some one knowledgeable can help me identify electronic part I need for my project.
It supposed to be a 15Hz pulse or frequency generator (I am not sure). It has blue LED that reflects frequency pulsation rhythm.
This part is tiny and powered by 9V battery.
I have attached picture of this part for your reference.

    Basic Circuit:

    Components:

    1. Timer IC 555 (TL555 or NE555)
    2. Resistor 22K (R1)
    3. Resistor 470K (R2)
    4. Capacitor 0.01uF
    5. Capacitor 0.1uF (C1)

This should give you a frequency of 15Hz.

If want to connect a LED to the output, need to place a resistor in series with the LED.
Value of the resistor from 330 to 1K (depending on the supply voltage and brightness you want).

Thank you for prompt and comprehensive explanation! I am very appreciated.
Can I buy it from somewhere already assembled to save time? What is the the name of this thing?
    Thanks.

Alternatively, you can buy a cheap micro-controller board, write a simple program to generate the 15Hz output.

    Such as this one:

Lazada is selling the 555 pulse generator module.

I will try to search at the Sim Lim Tower tomorrow.
    Thank you very much nb8686!
