    Best Setup For Trex 700X

One day, someone asked me what I think is the best setup for a Trex 700X, assuming he is so poor that he only left with money and helis.

I said, there is no best setup, there is always better setup. 没有最好的,只有更好的。

I recommended him the following setup:

    - Trex 700X Top Combo with HW 200A ESC
    - Change motor to Kontronik Pyro 750-50L2
    - Change flight controller to Vbar Neo with Rescue
    - Change Tx to Vbar Control Touch
    - Change 700X gear ratio to 9.33 (pinion 12T, main gear 112T). This will make the ESC and motor happy. Not for hard 3D thought.
    - Change main shaft to the "gold" one. 金箍棒
    - And of course, the Zolta Gold Edition 70C 6S 5200mAh Lipo.

As I expected, after reading this thread, the "poor" guy asked if this is my 700X setup. I said yes.
He then asked for something better since I said there is always something better.

I told him, he can consider the Pyro 750-50L2 Competition (the black motor),
although I don't thing he can feel (flying) the difference between the normal and Competition one.
He said, never mind about that, how much is this black motor.
I said, cheap cheap, only USD 619.90.

Nice heli and motor. Whose heli is this?

I heard someone had a maiden flight today for his Competition 700X.
Forgot to put thread lock on the tail rotor hub set screw.

Form what I know, not only there was no thread lock, that set screw wasn't even tightened.
That someone forgot about this screw completely.

While doing the swash auto trim, the heli spun around nonstop.
Luckily, the 700X special feature kicked in and landed the heli safely without any damage.
No, the tail blade holders didn't fly off as you may have expected.
700X design is quite good. LOL.

Someone tightened the set screw (no thread lock still) and continued with the auto trim and tail optimization, and had a successful maiden and test flight.

At least it was a successful maiden flight and heli came back in one piece.

You can say that again. Most importantly, the heli and you are safe.
