    Align CoastGuard 500 fuselage

After spending most of my free time fixing my boats, time to get back to my scale helis. Was glad that Zenmtech helped me brought this fuselage in. Instruction manual was included and pretty straightforward.

And the building begins. The plastic mechanical retracts provided was very stiff. Had difficulty retracting even with hand. So I stripped all three, trim off the excessive plastic mouldings and apply grease on the bushings. Its all smooth now. Waited and wait for my choosen Hitec servo to be in stock but it never came so had to go for some cheaper options. Reinstall the retracts with servo.

Trial fit my 500 heli into the fuselage was successful. Will continue next weekend. Need to do other stuff.

Placed it next to the bigger 600 size brother. Looks like a replica mini-me!!! Nice.

Thanks guys. Will post more pictures over the weekend when I resume building it.

Just wondering, am I the only here having two identical fuselage?

The 500 size heli that is fitted to the fuselage. Its made up of the various spares I have. Frame(standard size servo mounts) is from Tarot, Head and drive gears are Align and tail is made up of HK and Tarot.

Testing the retracts and its working fine. Ready for test flight before I install the other accessories.

Looks like my 6S battery is too big to fit into the fuselage. Need to look for smaller batteries.

Yup. The "long" field next to Northlink.

No updates from me. Was out of action since sunday, sick. MC ended yesterday only. Today back to work. So not yet maiden this fuselage. Hope able to do it this weekend.

Managed to maiden her this morning. Due to no suitable size battery, only one pack 3min flight available. So test the retracts during hovering and overall flight capability. Retracts work flawlessly but fuselage body got bad vibrations. Need to add support on top part of the fuselage and change the blades as tracking also off by a bit.
