    my simple router

not a beauty, but it works.
since i am still testing it, most part is not fully secured.

was thinking of doing drawing the Team Daddyhobby logo,
well looks near enough, missing target board ,
and the stupid pen just will not keep in place. <br> <br>

Its a Great day, lets fly, crawl, and fight.

no idea if its bosch, got it sometime ago for my table, those are the left-overs of odd length, i just use them as they are.

all of the things used are old stuff i brought very long ago.

did a simple cut test on wax.

the quality is not good due to reasons below.

my feed rate was to fast, (rushing to cut before night)
my g-code was set to use 1mm bit but i only have a 3mm bit (rushing so no re-code)

        but every works. <br> <br>

          free enclosure

found a hp 3in1 in the rain, all wet.

but the size is good for an enclosure.
          measure abt 400 x 250 x 150 mm.

some space is wasted at the back, but a mod will solve it.

            small updates

decided to share my only power supply.
so came out with the idea of just plug outlet.

also put out the connector and switch from my decom pc,
will use it to cut off the power to the card, since i do it often.
dont want to kill my power supply too early.

brought a hobby box for the card but seem kind of tight in space.
let see how i can best use it. <br> <br>

Am trying to do up a prototype using some wood pieces bought from Ikea. Didn't realise that they're not really that square. Bought quite some tools to help but end of cutting myself.... Woodworking is really tough to learn.

I was hoping to use 3060 alu profile for the machine structure. I found out that BL4 (that gentleman who came in to advertise his service) didn't have them. Only 2040 or 4080 or 3030. My stuff have 30mm mounting holes. Got to go back to drawing board to see how I can fix up 2 3030 to make 3060.

Meanwhile, will continue with using wood to get a feel of how I should do things.

ya, the un-sq issue, always a problem.
some time i just force it to 90 degree with a 90 degree bracket,
and a long screw to grip the 2 piece together.

                      2 x 3030 to make 3060,
may face alignment problem and maybe strength issue.
would 4080 be a good replacement since you have some lead?
not sure of the price different thou.

i was sawing the a long piece of 45mm profile for my router base,
surprisingly, it is soft enough to be saw with a handsaw.

Are you able to saw thru squarely? This is one hack of a job for me at this moment. I bought a Wolf jigsaw table, a Black & Decker Workmate 225, a B&D jigsaw, a handsaw, a level as straight edge, and 2 F-clamps. I thought that using the jigsaw table with the fence would help me up the learning curve. Boy I was wrong. Its so difficult. I messed up my study with saw dust and no result. What a pain. How to sleep tonight?

One thing I learn from a customer at Homefix. To prevent the bottom side of the wood from messing up (don't know the term here), use masking tape to tape around the cutting area. At least this works. May I can sleep tonight after all. Think of the positive result and try tomorrow night to improve the rest.

oh if you need wood you can get from a woodworking shop at soon lin building at jalan berseh rd. You can request them to cut to your sizes.

or if you need MDF, you can go artfriend @ Bras Basah Complex, They sell MDF boards. they also have wooden boards.

Couldn't seem to find Soon Lin Building on Streetdirectory.com. Saw those MDF in Artfriend. Can't find the size I need. Eunos has some hardware shops selling the whole piece. They'll only cut to smaller pieces for transport.

Found it. Streetdirectory search only recognised Song Lin but the label on the map says Soon Lin. Strange...
