I have similar problem on the short detecting range when I played in-door on the V-tank tank. However, in an open space, I can easily get range around 10m.

Where do you guys normally play? Weekend? Can join or not?

Does anybody is aware of the type of LED used in the Tx and Rx of the Infrared Ray system? If yes, mind to share and the circuitary involved. Planning to use it to trigger the tank IR system!!!!

Anybody ever install a portable laser pointer feature onto a AS Vstank before?Am thinking of zeroing the firing gun with the laser so that it will be more accurate. Care to share? Did you use the Tx to control the on-off of the laser. I personally do not find the Quick-spin useful. Can always use it...

You mentioned that it need to fully discharge before re-charge it otherwise the battery will degrade. Are you refering to Mi-MH which has no memory effect ,i.e., can charge anytime!
