    Test or Calibre your servo

    I found this circuit in the web which is able to test your servo or calibre.

    All the components can be found at Sim Lim tower.

    e.cost = less than S$5.00

      Here is the updated link .

      I have came across this simple circuit before and contemplated to make one but did not proceed.

      I would suggest that anyone who would want to make such a circuit modify it a little with a spdt switch and a multi-turn pot for P1 and R1 in between the positive supply and pin 7 of the 555 timer, then calibrate the output to the neutral position of your Tx for centering the servo arms. In case for Futaba, this would be 1.52 ms.

      This is what prevented me as I don't have an oscilloscope to calibrate it with and the main purpose of a servo tester for me was to center the servo arms without the Tx and Rx involved. For simple testing of servo throws, this is a very cheap DIY project.

        Sorry mike about the broken link. The link is the same as given by FDC.

        Give me a week, Iwill try to figure out the solution to this DIY set so everyone can bulid it.
