Encounter of the Most irrsponsible RC flyer

When everybody in the RC community is talking about improving the awareness of safety in RC flying. Yesterday I came across this RC flyer who give a shock to my life..... .......his act is totally unacceptable

In years of my RC hobby activties.....I have come across ppl playing EP RC cars, EP micro/ mini heli, toy rc plane (those small epp foam type) in open field near HDB area. Usually didnt really matter mush as the Player usually stay away from common area like walk path or playground. At the same time, EP is not that noisy too. Of cause some time you will encounter nitro car .....

However, what I encounter yesterday is one of its kind......

I spot someone flying nitro heli at MSCP ......yes he is flying not hovering...... The nitro heli is flying between HDB blocks upon the MSCP ......what is he thinking!!!!!!!! Do he have any sense of safety!!!!!! ........just think of it.....u look out of your window and you saw a nitro heli flying across it ......I stay at 13 flr.....and I am able to hear the noise even it is 2 block aways from me.....what happen if you are stay next tot he MSCP.....

Location is Jurong west central 1 blk 681 MSCP......I want to take pic of it but too bad my camera didnt have the zoom capability....

Just think of what will happen if things goes wrong....heli drop to the road from top of the MSCP .....or hit the HDB block .....playground ......cars.....the list can goes on and on !!!!!! Worst of all what if it hit someone.....and .......I just dont belive my eye .....and will never understand why that flyer doing it This will really give a bad name to the RC community in Singapore

Please take safety as first in your list.....dont take any risk ......RC is not a toy......it can KILL

I hope the flyer saw this message and stop what he is doing for the good of everybody

We can only blame ourselves if we keep preaching ...."Nitro heli is the most stable and BEST for begineers to learn to fly on".

Some poor sod will read it, go out and buy a Nitro bird and try to fly it "on his own" !

.....really sad thing, wondering how long before a major incident and the authorities start to clamp down on ALL heli flyers !

Neither are Nitro & EP planes.

The helis/planes in this hobby are not toys.

In that case, ....EP and Nitro RC cars aren't safe too ! ....I've witness a 1/8 on road car whack full speed into a 3 year old toddler and sent him flying into the air ! .....worst still was the fact that the driver was more concern if his car was damaged after the incident !

My friend broke his leg while trying to retrieve his car during a nitro car race, when another car hit him at high speed.

Seriously ah, how do we stop this errant ppl? We have to approach them in a diplomatic way? some of these ppl cannot take advices or feel agitated if were told off, even in the nicest possible way. Sigh...

If we go to the authority to report, it will only make the hobby look worse, though we, ourselves, forumners from DDH especially, abide to the rules or guidelines we set ourselves but how to tell the authority that such guidelines exists and these errant ppl who don't visit DDH don't know. I'm not sure u guys catch my drift. Sigh.. Stomach too ful liao.. later.

i think there is never enuf said about safety issues. i hope that fellow will wake up soon to realise what the heck he is doing. he is not only jeopardising his own safety, but others and potentially damaging other properties as well.

hmm..i might go and approach him, if i see one. not that i have nothing better to do, but ppl do get carried away sometimes. maybe i would rather be told off, than regretting for not reminding him.
