Wind monitoring at Bedok Reservoir

Has anyone actually started sloping at Bedok yet? If yes, please share your experience and observation of the wind conditions.

Season shld be early this year, its getting cold here.

kevin, suggest you wait another month or so and let the wind stablise more first, else alot of waiting. Can try the pierce slope if the wind is easterly. Now is a good time to start on those NIB kits!

Wind is Blowing!

Gentlemen,

Wind is blowing today, Seem the direction and strength is good enough for light gliders. I think this may mark the arrival of 2011 glider season.

Motors are for tractors and propellers are for boats!
Time to fly gliders!

Gentlemen,

Runway in use at Changi airport has started to change to 02 every now and again. This is always a good indication of the arrival of north east monsoon.
The current spell of rain also marks the ITCZ crossing Asean, once thru, the prevailing wind would be North easterly. Seem a little early this year.

It is time to dust off the gliders from storage and check the hardware.
