guys, I have motocycle battery that was given to me by my uncle and wanted to use it to power my battery charger in the field. What should be Amp rating for me to charge it at?
The max recharge current is 0.1C10 ie 10% of the batt capacity. For example if the batt is rated at 7.5AH, you can only use 0.75 Amps to recharge this batt. But check the voltage of the batt as well. There are 7.5AH batt delivered in both 6V and 12V. cheers

I must have charged with higher than 0.5C with my extreme charger, both of my batteries damaged. Cant be charged anymore
Ouch ! don't worry, can get them almost anywhere. it's S$ 20+ for a 12V 7AH batt. Anyway the safety vent should have opened when you overcharged. Becareful the content is sulphuric acidn it burns.
