Pb charging advice

Hi guy, AT wat max amp can i use to charge/ discharge my 12V 7.2 Ah Lead acid batt. i am using bc6.THanks

I charge my 12V2.3Ah at 0.3A. Use slow charge and they last longer, thats the advice I got from seniors. You can try 10% of the 7.2Ah, which is about 0.7A?

With computerised hobby charger, charged in Pb mode, 12V 0.7A until the charger stops automatically? Duration depends on battery state of charge. Can take up to 10-16 hours.

But the charging time is set by yourself leh.. That's why I'm not sure how long to charge..

How do we know when it's full and stop charging..

You mean your hobby lipo charger cannot auto cut off? Maybe the charging time is the safety timer. Can try set it to 10hrs. Full should hit around 14.4V, current will reduce, like how lipo is charged. Constant current then constant voltage.

my charger is pre-set to stop after 5 hrs..

ok.. now that's something that I never think about..

No prob.

Pb charging is pretty similar to lipo. Just that fully charge voltage is 14.4V and charge rate is 0.1C. May vary between types of batteries and use, but these are safe values.
