Machining in Singapore without getting killed by the neighbours?

It looks like my employer will soon be moving me to Singapore.

I was resigned to losing my machining hobby for a few years due to apartment living, but having found this forum I notice that a number of you are CNC enthusiasts.

First (and most important) question: How do you do it while keeping good relations with your neighbours?

Second question: Given Singapore's humid climate, how do you keep machinery from rusting?

Hi, the machine we selling are not those w 3 or 4 HP system.

Sherline motor are 90Vdc producing 1/2 HP good enuf for almost all machining application. Drive driven so min noise level. You hand drill probably louder than the noise the machine will generate.

If you cannot leave the room 24hrs aircondition use Corrosion X ... http://www.jethobby.com.sg/ezsite/pr..._155_2977.html

    Cheers

Mike is right. Sherline is rather quiet. The smaller passes allowed on a sherline won't produce too loud a sound anyway. My vaccuum cleaner is louder...
