What Happen When A Lipo Is Overcharged

Last year, for some reason, I accidentally over charged a pair of 6S 5200mAh Lipo batteries to 4.35V per cell.
These are normal Lipo batteries, not the high-voltage type. The batteries were at their 8th cycles then, relatively new.

Once I found they were overcharged, within minutes, I discharged them to 4.2 per cell.

Today, this pair of batteries are at their 175 cycles, and are still going strong.

do you put them in some charging bunker, bags or something while charging? I am afraid of such mistake too.

I put the batteries on top of Lipo bag. I usually stay close to the charger when it is charging. I will stop charging if I'm going away for more than one minute.

Always prepare for the worst, put a fire extinguisher nearby.
