Can Anyone Save This Lipo Battery

Someone brought this battery to me to see I could save it. The battery is new.
    What do you think?

I can almost feel the pain of the battery when the short happened.

Yes, that was exactly what I was thinking. I was told the guy who did this was not injured. What a lucky guy.
The connectors were melted inside. The plastic housing of the XT150 saved him.
If bullet connectors were used with just the shrink tube, his fingers would be burnt.
The other thing is that the battery was at store charge (around 3.8V), so the energy released were much less.

Is there a possibilty that that person could be colour blind ?
Like me my eye sight is changing. Yellow use to be the defacto
color but now only cloudy days the heli becomes greyish in the air.
Haizzzzz now best colour for me is Red & Orange but still not as great
as my sight was 3 yrs ago. The sad back of being a senior citizen I guesss.

Not sure if he is colour blind, didn't ask.
In any case, one should not connect any wires coming out from the battery together.

I thought you were doing some tricks there. Didn't know it actually belongs to somebody. It is really strange that thing did not even smoke out.

The guys is real lucky cause the female plug must have melted in double time & disconnected the short butbif its still connected
then it is a miracle that nothing else happened.

That guy was really very lucky. I was surprise to see the battery looked okay from the outside. The first thing I did was to cut the cable.
The result would be very different if the battery was fully charged.
