    Trex 700X Upgrade

    Hi,

If you are the owner of a Trex 700X and you are at a mental state that you need to
spend some money to upgrade your heli, here are some recommendations for you. LOL.

    1. New TiN Main Shaft

There is a new TiN (Titanium Nitride) main shaft available. The TiN coating improves hardness and corrosion resistance.

    2. New Tail Rotor Holder

This is a new tail rotor holder with higher rigidity. M4 screws are used instead of M3.

    3. Kontronik Pyro Motor

Upgrade to Pyro 750-50 motor. It is about 10C cooler than the 850MX, and 100g lighter.

    4. Hobbywing ESC 160A Platinum V4

Upgrade to the Hobbywing 160A Platinum V4 ESC.
You don't need to mount the heatsink for a 700X. It is only about 40C to 43C after a flight.
If you are going to use the Pyro 750 motor, it is good to use the HW 160A ESC instead of the 130A ESC.
HW 160A ESC seems to handle the 14 pole motor much better.

    5. Main Rotor Arm

There are two new main rotor arms; one for F3C (precision) and the other for 3D.
These arms come with the 760X.

    Hi,

If you are going to use the Pyro 750 motor, you have to use the HW 160A ESC instead of the 130A ESC.
The 130A ESC cannot handle this motor.

I repeat, don't use the 130A ESC with this motor.

Someone insisted on using the 130A ESC with the Pyro 750 motor.
See what happened. Told you not to use it, yet don't listen.

Hovering only. 3 minutes to get burnt. LOL.

When he first tested, the ESC shutdown after about 30 seconds.
Let it cooled down, and tried again, same thing happened.
Then, he got some "advice/suggestion" from HF that the ESC auto shutdown (cut off) should be disabled.
He disabled the auto shutdown, and tried again.
This time the ESC did not shutdown at 30 seconds as before, but fire started at about 3 minutes later (hovering).
