Test fit and bench fly. The wings are just epoxied in place but the joint is not yet reinforced.

Thanks, but still not yet ready and still got quite a bit of work to be done.

I coated the fuselage with 2-part polyurethane lacquer to add shine and protect the paint. The wing joint is reinforced with UD carbon and glass. The wing servos are in place and I will permanently epoxy the fuselage and wings tonight.

Spent some time rigging up the elevons. I made the control horns from G10 fibreglass sheet. Elevons uses a pair of KST DS225MG servos with top drive system. The servo wells are temporarily covered with clear PVC sheets.

Lead shots glued into the nose and another lead trim sheet are needed to bring the balance to the correct CG. The nose of the fuselage just needs to house the receiver, small 2S lipo and a voltage regulator. The ship now tips at 568 grams total.

Maidened it today at Bedok Reservoir, despite the intermittent rain. With the correct conditions, this plank flies fast and track very well. In good lifts, it climbs quickly and it picks up good speeds during the dives. It's not quite a floater but still relatively forgiving to fly. However, lack of flaps mean that landings will be hot.

                  Overall, big fun to fly!
