Thank you all poisonous friends who contributed...
Unfortunately the weakling had been subdued by its own venom and today no choice but to go find Doctor Tan for the cure.
Prescribed with a small and powerful dosage of the Align Dominator 500L.
Will be my first time building a complete kit from box, although had been stripping down a few A/RTF 450 kits previously, but looking at the instruction manual, it seems very concise and clear.
Decided to go smaller 500 size after considering several factors, such as cost of parts, LiPo and the sheer size of a bigger 550.
Actually had looked into KDS Chase 360, HK500GT, Agile 5.5 and Dominator 550. But eventually i felt i would be a bit less intimidated with a smaller size of proper quality heli with plentiful of spare parts support in case i really screw up on day 01... And i hate ordering anything online and had to wait.
Lets see how the build goes.. Heh !I'm Remotely Controlled ...

Haha everyone know who is this gentleman .. Im just joking a little here.. Just my nature.. Hehe
Started on the FBL head last night, loctite each screws as indicated.
Also mark out the Tie bar ends "A" side with white paint for easy identification in future so that i dont make a mistake of popping in backwards.
All Align kits come pre-assembled, but not loctite'd. You have to remove all the screws, apply, then reinstall back.
Basically i dont call this pre assembled. Its called double job.
In my field of technical work, its call "kio sai " ... Picking up other people incompleted job hehe!I'm Remotely Controlled ...

Here is what I did for the tie rods.. dabbed with a little white paint.
Old flower eyes sometimes cannot see the "A" embossed text at subliminal twilights
Also you want to not tighten all the screws first before you set the frames right.
I place the partially tightened frame on my floor tile and then tighten up the screws.
Also will be good to insert the main rotor shaft through the top and bottom bearings before tightening them down.
The instruction calls for you to mount the skids onto the bottom carbon plate first before securing them to the main body.
This I find it a little better if you install the bottom plate first, then once all are secured and squared, then put on the skids.
Anyways, I believe most of you guys probably would had built more heli than me. But just feel good to share my new toy pictures.. heheLast edited by blueangel; 24-11-2014, 04:07 PM.I'm Remotely Controlled ...
