news from the Chase 360's designer's aide are that KDS will be releasing the 360 in tail shaft drive. Photos shown on zenmtech website and rcgroups show test photos and test flights with the belted tail setup. Will it be belted tail or torque shaft driven?

Just confirmed with KDS that the Chase 360 tail is belt driven.

With the 3 belts, there would be some extra torque required and side loads. I wonder if the KDS motor is tuned in a particular way for more torque.

I'm more impressed that they managed to squeeze in a 2 stage gearing drive inside this size, and still remain clear-headed enough to go belt drive on the tail.

Just an update. The Chase motor is still not ready, but KDS has sent the kits to us yesterday. So, we should get it in the next two days. According to KDS the motors will only be shipped to us next week. Sorry for the delay.

Agreed, Scorpion motors idle current tend to be very high. Not everyone flies 9G-defying 3D

According to Singapore Customs notice, the goods have cleared customs during weekend. So, I hope the courier company will deliver the kits to us today. KDS should receive the motors today and ship out today as well.
