In all seriousness, do not get this one. Get the latest Garmin Forerunners or etrex that are using the latest gps chipset. This one uses the old gps chip set, whenever u turn it on, u have to leave the unit on the spot for 5-10mins before it could search n locked on the satellites. Newer models lock on within secs.

Tried to maiden her last Sat. But one of the ESC failed. Motor was cogging and not turning. Boat going in circle, had to limp her back to shore.

At home, while trying to re-lube the cable, saw one of the cable partially broke. Not even running properly and the cable broke.

Received my repaired esc last week and managed to re-maiden this morning. Conditions were perfect, calm waters and little wind. Unable to full throttle, risk getting a blowover. Need more tuning to get the setup right. Unable to get a GPS lock on my garmin so unable to determine her speed. But she felt the fastest boat I have driven.

Video of her last run this morning :

Did another run last Sat and managed to get a lock on my Garmin GPS. As expected, it was the fastest boat I ever driven, it clocked a max speed of 69.9mph or 112km/h.

Here is a video of my run :

                          Wow good run!!!
By the way, how do you secure the gps on the outside? Double side tape?

Hi Adrianli, finally met u on Sat....
The 6S on the Genesis is too powerful, full throttle and the boat flipped....

I used blu-tack and three layers of packing tape. The inside of the hull is CF, Garmin unable to get a signal when placed inside the boat. So have to put it outside. The good thing abt Garmin Forerunner, it is water resistant so no problem putting it outside.
