Due to the design and materials, the peg is where the spar is so it's located in front. Maybe a small mod with cf patch , the peg can be moved back to the more usual location. Will have to see how well it launches in stock form.www.facebook.com/groups/BRslopers

We have our first Libelle in Singapore from Asia Pacific Hobby.
It was built last night and maidened today at one of our fields in the city. We will be having our 3rd league F3K contest at this field , amazing backdrop.
Anyhow back to the libelle.
First impression, very well thought out design, the build was completed in 3hours during 1 evening. AUW with 4xD47 servos, 2s 180 lipo, bec , Frsky 4ch rx was 270g. Nice smooth finishing on the foam, everything just clicked together.
I had a go at it for awhile before the batt ran out. Launching takes awhile to get use to as it felt draggy (was flying a snipe) , once i go smooth and easy i could get it to launch high ~20+ meters. We felt the wing was quite bendy and with some fibertape top and bottom, we should be able to strengthen it for higher launch.
Flying it, it felt very floaty and smooth. Handling wise, it turns with enough inputs, rudder was especially useful, stall characteristics was gentle.
The libelle is very hardy and forgiving, it was driven hard into the ground a few times and we just picked it up and launch again. The vertical stab came out once and was easily fixed with CA.
+ perfect for pilots new to DLG,very easy build, something that is forgiving in flight characteristics and structure . Also good for experience pilots for some stress free flying.
- flexi wings , rudder could use some reinforcement, also for right hand launchers , the rudder rod will be in compression so that was some flex and the plane hook left on launch. it will be good if the design allowed us to flip over the vertical stab so that rod is in tension instead.
All in all ,thanks again Michael for such a fantastic design.
Some vids
Launched in wrong mode, we just picked it up and go again
YZ having a go at Libelle
Next will be testing it at the slope, hopefully there is still some wind left.

Libelles at slope
Yesterday we had some smooth lift at the slope and there were about 4 Libelles enjoying the fun.
Had a go with one of them, it felt floaty as designed, flies very stable, controls were gentle and no bad stall habits. In the evenings, it was able to glide and stay afloat in light winds and being foam, the pilots could fly them closer without worries.
Nicely done Libelle from Faheem
Video to come later.
