The Joker, "I may be crazy enough to take on Batman, but the IRS? Noooo!"

    #2
    Power setup:

    2x HET 70mm Fans
    2x HET Typhoon 2W-25
2x Hobbywing 80A ESCs (Seen in picture)
    1x 6S Zippy 5000 mAh 40C Lipo battery

How is it gonna fly? (Tried activating the fans... idle power threatens to move the plane forwards)

This is a Freewing Su-35. It has thrust vectoring.

Have you flown an EDF jet before?

If you have, try flying without the thrust vectoring first. Go as high as you can then only turn it on.

It's basically a 3D edf jet. The foam is pure EPS so don't crash it.

Any Transmitter/servo settings that should be taken note of?

            End Point Adjustments?
            Dual Rates?
            Exponential?
            Mixes?

I'll do this as a start for all jets and they work fine.

              Aileron throw = 50 percent.
              Aileron expo = 50 percent.

              Elevator throw = 100 percent.
              Elevator expo = 50 percent.

But once you turn on the thrust vectoring, it may all go to hell unless you're flying 3D so probably have to reduce the throws further, maybe on the TV nozzle servos.

The mixing should be toggled by a switch, mixing with aileron and elevator to the nozzle servos respectively, and rudder if the TV is 360 type.

You brought it as kit ? Freewing staffs are all good. Did you connect the sequencer?

Vector trust is not that scaring la, if you new to it,try it at 50%. I would say they are easy to fly on unless your setup is out of trim.

Only DON"T USE THEM ON LANDING.

These China companies, forget it. If you bought it from hobbyking, it will take long time to get warranty. If you got it from a LHS best to go back to them. If all else fails, take out the electronics, unscrew and see if there's any bad solder joints in there. Some electrical/electronics knowledge should come in handy here.

The grass must be flat ans short and even then... it has so much resistance... Ooo boy... i rather take this off from some proper concrete...

The scale looking cover for the front wheel probably is the culprit as it causes too much friction with the grass on the ground.
