Almost bought that baby too....only thing that held me back was spare parts.
Most monster trucks out there are 1/8 scale, but the SSK is 1/10th scale. Of course you can find Tamiya parts, but they sucks as well. :P
Another thing that held me back was the chassis and suspension. From the construction, it doesn't looks like it's a true-blue monster truck design. Looks more like an oversized off-road buggy with monster wheels. suspensions looks puny when compared to the larger brother, as well as the most raved Traxxas T-Maxx on display at rotor as well.
Magazine reviews it to be less capable as a 'climber', but more of a 'off-road racer'.
It's a good car to bash around, make some noise, and running it around to chase cats/dogs...but it won't survive heavy bashing, flying/jumpings.
And since it's a RTR, be prepared to change the steering servos to a high-torque servo.
