Full throttle the baby just now and it achieved a top speed of 55.8mph. Still the same old set of lipo thou. She was very loose at top speed, lucky I was running her early in the morning so no wind or waves to make her blowover.

Forgot to lube the flex cable many many, thus total meltdown of the teflon liner in the stuffing tube. Therefore I had to strip out the motor, electronics box and drive hardware. Good thing now, I will not put the electronics box back to save weight. Also opportunity to upgrade the drive hardware. One bad thing leads to many good stuff to come. Positive Thinking at its best.

Install new strut and new flex cable. That extra circular thing on the flex cable is a flex cable saver. In case the flex cable come loose from the coupler, I wont lose the flex cable and my precious prop. Also fix back the rudder. Ready to hit the water.

Managed to run her this morning. She gave me a nice solid 4min run and then the coupler came loose due to too much heat.

                      Video of my run :

After retrieving her, opened up, woohooo, smoky. The stuffing tube went from nice brass colour to chao tar. The teflon liner melted too. Looks like more work ahead.

But looking at the GPS, make a smile on my face 58.1mph.

The cable looks crooked cos the brass tube got heated up and melted the epoxy that was supporting it in the brace.

But no worries, I will be re-doing the stuff tube again.
