Sorry to ask, is the fee a one time registration or an annual renewal type?

Sorry for the late reply, its an Annual type of registration.

Wow, I didn't know the forms are out so quick! That's great news! That means I will be busy compiling the name list and preparing the temporary membership cards soon. The fees will go to help buy essential equipment to make our flying a more pleasant experience.

            Thanks for all who registered!
            Cheers!

              Best regards

                    Gentlemen,

To clarify some confusion, founding members are members that have preregistered before. Their IC nos. are listed in the first post.

Now we are open to the public. Any and everybody interested can go to register regardless if their ic is listed or not. The only restriction for new members (from public) is that we have limited space as we are catering to a specific no. only this time.

Last check, there are still quite a substantial no. of slots. Please make your way down and register if you are interested.

We will monitor the nos. registered and the closing date, once quota is met, we will close the registration exercise and let everybody know.

                    Regards
                    Kevin

Ace Aeromodelling Club is ON-LINE!-Please read following carefully.

                            Gentlemen,

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Ace Aeromodelling Club Will be On-Line starting this Saturday (7th January 2012). After almost 5 years of work, finally, We would like to welcome all registered members to fly at Woodlands Dr 19. The official launch will be sometime after Chinese New Year.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the various authorities and individuals that has contributed to make Ace aeromodelling club a reality. Special Thanks goes to AFS, RSAF, CAAS, HDB, Ace the Place CC and Sembawang GRC Advisor.

We have had 3 days of operational wet run last week. We are glad to announce other than a few teething problems, all major procedures were carried out successfully with the various agencies.

Needless to say, the arrangement is very precious to all. With the proximity to Sembawang Airbase, there are some rules that we must all follow strictly otherwise we would risk losing the field. To further ensure the rules and procedures are followed to the dot, the committee has also ensure there will be at least one Field safety marshal on duty during every flying session. His decision on safety and operation matters will be final as all the safety marshals have been briefed on the importance of observing every rule.
Please extend your courtesy to him and help him in every way possible to ensure safe and smooth operation for our enjoyment of the hobby. He may occasionally ask you to go with him to talk to errant aeromodellers and/or kite flyers. Please go and project a good image of a united group of responsible flyers.

There will be tentages set up in the middle of our designated flying area. All flyers must stationed themselves there. Flying from all other areas are strictly prohibited.

There are strict protocol to follow when it comes to certification of pilots and aircrafts. This is obviously for SAFETY. We, under no circumstances, should allow a model aircarft to crash on to the adjacent roads, this will post a serious possibility of losing the field permanently other than the obvious possibility of causing an accident. With this in mind, certification of pilots and aircrafts is of paramount importance.

Certification will be carried out by appointed club instructors. They are well qualified personnel that has been carefully chosen for the purpose. Most have been flying models aircrafts for more than 10 years and has conducted courses/training. Instructors can be identified with RED membership tag. The instructor decision(s) on certification is final, he will always give recommendations if the aircraft(s) is deemed to be less than airworthy. Please extend your understanding to his task of maintaining a high standard. However the instructors are also being briefed to be practical and practice a standard achievable by all.

                            Itinerary for Saturday and Sunday

This Weekend being the first official flying days, we do anticipate there will be a lot of certification work. We would like to appeal to all flyers to have extra battery charged for the aircraft certification process and to be patient for Solo Check. Certification criteria will be posted on yahoo group.

Please come to the field early, certification of aircraft will start at 830am and pilot certification shall start at 900am, on first come first serve basis.

All pilots who pass SOLO-Check shall be given a Blue membership tag. All pilots who needs further instruction shall be given a Yellow presolo membership tag. Request for solo check can be made once every week. The membership tags must be worn and displayed prominently during all flying activities. We are also printing T shirts, unfortunately due to the holidays, there have been some delays. We will inform once they are ready, similar to the tags, once distributed, club T shirts must be worn during all flying activities.

Every aircraft that passes the certification shall have a CRS (certificate of Release to service) sticker attached to the permanent structure of the aircraft. Aircraft that has been flown successfully before does not constitute automatically for a CRS.

As for parking, we have not got any clearance to park at the side of the road. Therefore parking is left to your own discretion. However having said that, should the field safety marshal decides to advise everybody to park at the near by HDB carpark, please extend you cooperation. This will only be for the interim because the construction of the new CC will be completed by the end of 2012 and parking will be available then-just next to our field.

Having said all that, we would like to extend our warmest welcome to everybody to come and fly, have fun and make some friends with the same interest. We look forward to meet all new faces and talk aircrafts.

                            See you this Saturday.

Please visit this forum every now and again for update leading to Saturday.

                            Best regards
