Hope the cyclist is doing ok. At first I tot road block when I saw the blinking lights. Anyway, its a black Nissan Sylphy hidden in front of the police car that knock down the cyclist.

Got a call from someone and he wana get a car camera too. Now he know the usefulness of it when ppl beat redlight and nearly hit him. Thatz my purpose of installing one in the first place. Come to insurance claim, everything is crystal clear.

          Formal Complaint Letter to SH9675B

          Dear Sir/Mdm,

The incident happened on Sunday 29th June 2008, about 11:10am on Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 direction towards entrance of CTE(towards SLE).

I was on the leftmost lane in a 3 lane road. Suddenly the cabby of SH 9675 B cut into my lane from the 2nd leftmost lane, which caused me to pressed hard on the brake as in the attached video taken from my onboard car camera. Not happy with his action, I horned him because his action was very dangerous to fellow motorist. He purposely changed lane abruptly without due care to motorist on his left which is me. My car front was just beside his boot area of the cab when he changed lane abruptly.

I am very unhappy with his action of abrupt lane change without due care to fellow motorist (which is clearly against trafffic law). Moreover there was even a passenger in his cab which also shows that he did not think of the safety of the passenger. Such drivers should be sent back for re-training on safety driving and good etiquette driving courses. These are taught in driving schools during basic theory lessons.
Quote from SPF website http://www.spf.gov.sg/about_spf/tp/i...te_driving.htm :

The Law – Driving without due care and attention or reasonable consideration is prescribed for in Section 65 of the Road Traffic Act Chapter 276 which states:

“If any person drives a motor vehicle on a road without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road, he shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both, and in the case of a second or subsequent conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.”

More Common Examples of Inconsiderate Driving

          a) Swerving into the path of another vehicle without thought or regard for other road users thereby forcing them to take evasive action by applying brakes or swerving;

I trust Comfort will have to take appropriate action against such inconsiderate driver, who has not only broken the traffic rule but also endangered fellow motorist (and passenger). We can't tolerate such driver on our roads!

Please revert back to me of any appropriate disciplinary action against the driver concerned as I want to know exactly what kind of action was taken. Please also include the driver’s particulars and of a possible meeting with him so that I could talk some sense into him.

Please see attached video of the taxi taken by my onboard car camera.

          Regards,

I literally got run off the road by a blue mazda 3 yesterday evening around 7pm on AYE heading towards CTE around after Alexandra exit. This person swerved into my rightmost lane from his centre lane without even checking were I was. When his mirror almost touched mine, I had to swerve to the right until I nearly hit the railing, jam brake, tires screeched and stopped. This was how crazy he was!

The car plate is SJB922*. It's a medium blue mazda 3, driven by a young punk with another male front passenger.

If any one of you happen to spot this car or know the driver, I want to give him a piece of my mind!

No video no talk. Its ur words against his. Like me, install an onboard car camera, everything is crystal clear. U can then submit it to TP for their action.

So far this is the second incident I reported to TP liao.

Yep I really wished I had the camera installed, but then again, it's facing front and would not have shown how the guy was practically ramming me from the side. Nevermind lah, incident over and can't see justice done in this case. But this guy needs to learn his lesson man. I'm just glad I was driving alone and not with any passengers (esp kids) in the car.

                            1) DIY, cig lighter plug-in.
                            2) Continuous recording w/overwrite. 1G will record 4hrs, 2G is 8hrs.

I only remove the SD card and load to my PC when it recorded these incidents. If not, SD card is left in there.

Here is the reply from Comfort. Looks pretty standard reply to me. But nevermind lah, let TP discipline the cab driver better. Now waiting for tp to call me go make a statement report.

Cab driver must be cursing his arse luck to meet someone with a car camera.
