And if those Thai are willing to spend the money to come Singapore for competition, surely they must be very confident in winning, if not they wont even bother.

Winning or losing isn't the most important thing.
Being able to represent Singapore to participate in such events already makes both Danny and Kenny a winner in their own rights!
