This new compilation of 400 R/C tips by respected illustrator, writer and modeler Jim Newman offers many more great time- and money-saving modeling hints.
As in our first volume, the hints included here were carefully selected from the Model Airplane News column "Hints & Kinks," and they cover such topics as tools, building techniques, landing gear, radio and control linkages, engines, covering and finishing, the flight box and electric flight. Modelers pursuing the growing world of electrics will have an interest in a new electric flight section. Tips on motor break-in, battery maintenance and other techniques specific to the use of electric-power systems have been carefully selected from Jim Newman's "Pit Tips," a column that appears in Air Age's Radio Control Car Action magazine.
Developed by experienced R/C modelers and sent to Air Age for inclusion in Jim's world-famous, illustrated columns, these tips can enhance your modeling fun while solving many of the hobby's most nagging technical and practical problems. This work will be another good source of ideas for your modeling library - a single source that won't require flipping through past issues of Model Airplane News. We're sure that you'll find these tips a big help in the workshop and at the flying field.
