Take Your Litter Home With You!

Today (Monday) I went to my usual flying field at Old Holland Rd and when I got there I found water bottles, drink cans, McDonald's cups, food packaging, empty cigarette packs, empty fuel containers, plastic bags of food, boxes, Raptor part's packaging, component packaging, strewn all over the place, even along the roadside. After I finished my flying, I went home and got some plastic bags and came back to the field with my daughter to clean up the place.

Now, listen up. If you can't be responsible enough to take your litter, go fly elsewhere. All that stuff isn't going to go away by itself and eventually what's going to happen is that the residents will complain and they will shut the field down. So once again, grow up dudes - show some consideration and maturity and stop behaving like uneducated punks because you're going to lose the field.

I know that on Sunday there was a bunch of people there doing some filming and probably some of the litter were theirs. Fine, but the empty fuel containers aren't theirs, nor are the Raptor parts packaging, tapes, etc. Furthermore, even if it's not your rubbish, make some effort to keep the place clean. They just mowed the grass and we have one of the best fields around so lets keep it that way. I've got half a mind of dumping that rubbish into the cars of the litterers and see how they like it. If you don't want it done to you, stop doing it to others or as I said, go fly elsewhere like your own garden where you can litter all you like.

    Here's what I recommend:-

    1. If you're bringing food, make sure you take it all away with you.
    2. If you're unpacking parts, have the decency not to dump the packaging there.
    3. Bring a plastic bag for your litter and bring it away. There are many SEMAC dustbins nearby just down the road. You can dump it there.
    4. Lastly if you see someone litter, smack them on the back of their heads, HARD!

That stuff in the video, that's the two large garbage bags full of YOUR litter. Yes, the ones you left at the field and thought would grow legs and walk away by itself.

The same goes to Tampines Park. You can started to see water bottles and food packaging around now almost everywhere now..

One sad thing to see is the BURNED dustbin!!!

You are inviting a RED flag from NPark.

And... car driving in to pickup their plane/equipment too!!

        The list goes on.....

You want to enjoy it, be responsible to yourself even you are not going to do extra like Daniel Wee

They can built the extra shelter for you, they also can put a NO RC FLYING sign.

Do something before it is TOOOOOO late. Then you will have to fly some where far and start to complain why Singapore have no flying site.

Oh my God. that's a hell lot of rubbish. I havent been to any field for a while now but when I was at Bedok reservoir site , there were a few litters here and there too . Let's keep the site clean.

The cleaning workers can do the clean up ONCE A WHILE but if it gets too often, the boss will complain and the site will be closed for flying we dont want that do we ? Some of the site owners ( like that of Bedok) allow us to fly .. dont take advantage by throwing litters around ya

Actually most of the flyers do not login here.

Please educate them at the flying field.

I found some other "stuffs" while helping another flier looking for his part at a flying field. This stuff should be under classified.

kudos to daniel wee for pointing out the fact that the responsibility for cleanliness lies with ourselves.
though i have not been to able to fly outdoors yet, the day will come and i do not want the common grouse that there's no decent flying sites left due to the actions of those who think nothing of littering the place.
let's be responsible to ourselves and the environment. it'll do everybody good in the long run. my two cents worth.

This kind of post has been around for many time, but the situation did not get any better. To be honest, not everyone who flies R/C planes and helis are computer saavy or use this forum either. Sometimes, telling somebody off at the field will get negative results. Although I'm not doing it everytime I fly, sometimes, I pick up others' rubbish and hoping the person who left them there sees it. Hopefully, they feel embarassed by doing so and discourage them from littering again. Anyway, I'm not so noble. I'm just trying to all the FOD's before my next plane hits it bullseye on the next landing.

If we pick up somebody else rubbish, even the person still does not feel embarrass, at least we can help saving the field. Having say so, burning crashed planes and rubbish in the open is a no-no.

                  Disappointing

I dropped by the field again today and the rubbish was back. McDonald's drinks cups, broken blades (heli), broken canopy (heli), empty fuel containers, etc. Some people just never learn. Anyone here knows who crashed their nitro heli at the field on Monday?

Yesterday morning, I found a broken GWS prop in JW field. Guess what?? I found ANOTHER 1 this evening!! Before you ask, they are not from the same propeller. For goodness sake, please TAKE YOUR LITTER HOME WITH YOU!!!

One more thing. For those flying at JW field in the evenings, please practise safety. Jets come in for landing. PLEASE land you planes at the first sign of approaching aircraft or helis. No matter how good you are, accidents do happen. A servo lockout might send your beloved plane onto the path of our country's Protector. Any incident will cause us to lose our flying field, or even our hobby. Let's all practise safety before any unfortunate incident happens.

Didn'tnotice u were there too. Yup I was very worried seeing that guy refusing to land his plane and fly it off the path of the heli when it is vvvv near.

I saw 2 planes in the air.. 1 was v close to the heli. Too close for comfort.
                              huh
