    charging lead acids

i just got a new lead acid batt today, 12v 7.2Ah. i decided to charge it up the first time round and i set a charge rate of 1.2a on my T10 charger. i noticed the charge amp and the batt voltage seem to start lower then rise, then go down again and rise. is this normal?

i charge mine at 2 Amp. its normal for the voltage to fluctuate as it charges. if batt is weak, the amp will go higher than 2, than as the batt get stronger, the amp start to go down till batt full.

is there any guidelines on how many 'C' to charge the battery at??
I have a 8A 12 PB battery but i stick to the reccommended charge rate of 0.9A as shown on the bottom of the battery

Charge your Sealed lead Acid Battery

I have sealed Lead acid working since year 2000.

I keep the battery by float charge it with 12V 600mah adapter during week days.

It was my second sealed lead acid battery for my 30 size Nitro Heli starter since 1995

          Thanks
