Hmmmm...sure doesn't look like the oil catch tank that I know of.
For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

Oil catch for Nitro star engines ( Part number A928 )

This stops any oil that may leak out of the front bearing getting on the chassis.

I think you are supposed to install it before or after the fly wheel.

how much does leaks out from the front bearing?

have anyone here used this device before?

hopefully it makes keeping the car clean easier

From my limited knowledge of the engine, when fuel leak out front the front bearing, either the bearing is kuput or the crankshaft is worn.
Low end performance will be very much affected

Thus by checking for fuel leak from the engine show sign of engine health
Seems like this fuel catch thing is a bad idea to me

Looks like our GS21R has problem manz.......fuel all over the chassis.

Yeah. I would have thought the same too. If i had oil leaking from the front bearing of my engine i would be damme worried.

The other thing is... is there space in front of the bearing and the flywheel to install this device??

How to drain the collected oil, or see if there's any oil collected in the first place.

Saw some setscrews together with the catch. If it's to drain by just removing the screw, the oil will drain onto the chassis.... and we're back to square one.

But the fuel seems to be coming from the carb

Does that mean too much back pressure from the exhaust?

Oil leak is a bad omen.... O mi tu fu.....

Its only for a some hpi engines... the crankshaft has got some extension unlike the other more common engine locally
