    HELP! Gears 2spd

i took my v1-r out for a run yesterday after neglecting it for like 2years and tried drifting... first few rounds ok... until i hit the brake hard and the engine mounting shifted causing the gear to mis-align...

tried fixing it today and the gears didn't look too bad not really eaten up so i took a picture and hope to get some advise here... changed the mounting too except the gears...

kindly look out for me if the gears are still in working condition and if the allignments are too close or too far (the plastic and metal gears)

    'Regards

Can't tell from the 1st pic as it too out of focus. From the 2nd Pic I would say it a tab too far apart.

The spur will last abit longer but i would recommend you get one more as spare.

Its more a feel thing with the mesing of gears but if you really got no feel then use the good old strip of paper test.

Sorry what i mean was it looks a tad bit..meaning a little bit too far. Spur gear is the one that is worn. Pinion gear is the one on the engine.

The plastic gear is already worn. It won't last. One more slight slip and it will be gone.

use a paper to test. The paper should be able to go through the gears with not too much resistance.

Over tightening it will also cause abnormal wear. Use the paper method if you not sure.
