Differential is for what?

Anybody can explain what the diff is for?

I was building the XXX-BK2 today and over-tightened it...and it suddenly went loose. Cannot tighten anymore. I think damaged the diff nut or something......$%^$#&$%!!!!

New buggy and cannot play til get spare part.

diffeerential is for turning. When ur car turns, the outer wheel goes faster than the inner wheel.

Looks like you've snapped the bolt or break the thrust bearing. Do open up and check. If it's the bolt, there's no problem coz a similar one should be easy to buy. If it's the thrust bearing assembly, let's hope BK carry spares.

If the inner wheels slows down, isn't the outer wheel faster than the inner wheel?

LOL! same sentiments! i think haowee means if ur using differential, the inner wheel slows down while the outer wheel maintains speed whereas if u use a one way bearing, outer wheel spins faster and inner wheel maintains speed.

I stripped the nut that holds the bolt. Now trying to see if Evader can supply the part. Interim measures until BK brings in the actual part. 3 weeks' time....

You should be able to use the standard nut, unless they use imperial size. Then you'll have to bring the bolt to the screw shop to test fit a nut. Buy a few!

Well, I figure since they are all US-made, and buggies/trucks seem to copy each other in terms of design, I should be able to use the part...I hope... :P
