Well, electric car got their little nitty and gritties as well...It's only fun if you got a group of racing kakis and a frequent track to go to and race...

If I'm not wrong, there'll be a big racing event by Tamiya Asia or something like that towards end of August.....venue should be at Suntec or Expo....u might wanna check it out b4 deciding on which cars to get...

Hmm. I don't dig RTRs at all. I started with a GP truck, RTR. Looking at it then, I didn't even know what all the plastic and metal was and how they worked in relation to each other.

Subsequently, I bought kits, got a FM Tx and never looked back.

I feel that in order to have an understanding of how the cars work, you need to actually build the thing. After building a few, you more or less get a working knowledge of how they work. You might want to start with Tamiya kits as they are cheaper, of good quality and pretty close in structure to more expensive offerings by other companies. (I started out EP by getting a Tamiya 'The Hornet' re-issue, $180 kit)

Another downside: if and when you get sucked into EP cars, you might want to get a FM Tx. That's extra $. Anyway, people say that EP is more expensive to pursue than GP. Must be all those expensive batteries.

Also, I feel that EP, in terms of getting the car running as soon as possible, is less frustrating. Charge batteries, get motor, ESC, Rx, gear meshing settled, turn on Tx, turn on Rx, squeeze trigger and Vroom. (Then trim, trim and trim)

But once in awhile, my thoughts wander to GP....
      I can haz diving?

        Thanks for the advice.

I think i will stick to tamiya for a first. I guess if i really want to go into cars, then i will consider a kit for a 2nd car. Right now, just want to test water and i got no time to build also(still got planes to build). Reason or electric is really simple, i dont want to have extra things to upkeep.

So is there anywhere that i can go take a look or even some website for me to browse? what is roughly the price and what is install?
