What has the diameter of a spd 400 but the length of a speed 300 ....

I have this odd mtroniks motor i got from the uk as it looked very interesting.

As mentioned in the subject it has the diameter of a speed 400 but the length of a speed 300.

I've taken a picture and i'll probably get down to posting it this afternoon when i wake up or something.

Now i'm thinking of putting it my hornet as i think i've about flown the stock motor to its death and this looks like just the ticket to more torque while i deal with getting an axi

Thing is though i want to ask around if anyone has any idea what class this motor is.It says " standard speed 400 " and " 380" on it but it's shorter than any speed 400 andlooks odd.

Looks like it should be a 380 but this would then be the first 380 i've seen that actually measures 380.

I dont want to commit this motor not knowing where or how to get a replacement....

So just asking around if by some chance, someone has encoutered something like this. Maybe it's a standard length for 1/24 rc cars ?

Hmmm hey ray i think facial hair isn't one of the best ways to decide stuff like that though heh

Besides i too usually have a cock goatee ( like right now too )but have been having to shave myself clean quite often these few days as i'm applying for my US visa and er showing up with a beard or submitting photos with my beard probabyl wont go down so good heh

At anyrate here's the picture of the funny motor. I'm hoping someone who deals with the 1/24 micro rs4's could help me out and let me know if this is something of a standard.

I think my current motor's actualyl still going plenty strong.
after it goes , next in line is this mystery mtroniks.

            No Hornet,

It's precisely that the endbell is this way that u can time it....

Derrick I think you should give it a try. Just put on the same pinion [pray to The Big Guy up there] that the shaft fits to a tee, and spool up the hornet in your hands to get a feel of the rpm.....

-> heh heh, I sound like expert right.... Actually i still havent sorted out my idle 1 curves.... Seems like nitro helis and outdoor CPs take a bit more than CP 20% or Lipos to fly......

Derrick u dun mind bringing the motor along if there's funfly this week? It's looks kinda cool, and ya know i got a fetish for motors...... I must be c o c k to buy a heli for the motor.....

Hmm the shaft doesnt fit it's a speed 400 2.3mm shaft i've bored out and fitted the 14 tooth i got with the kit judging that to be a good start.

But a bit lazy to change anything right now heh

yeah when's the next funfly though? will there be one this wed?
