Home made MS composit CF gyro mount for H2

Inspired by doug's thread ( and the thinking ) i got down to shoving my gyro mount further from the main mast for just a little bit less response.

Made this CF gyro plate to secure it right, quite cock....

It's orignal MS carbon fibre plating....
no prizes for guessing where i got it from haha

Hey Derrick, can spare me some small piece of your broken CF Blades? Want to make a tail fin lah.

So did your gyro gain improve with the additional support? I find that any efforts to support the gyro and preventing it from yawing would help. Yours is on the correct path since it will help prevent the gyro from twisting/rotating.

My tail was better when I mounted it with thin 3M tape rather than the recommended thick gyro foam tape. With the 3M tape its was solidly glued on to the frame wherelse the thick included foam tape allows the gyro to move about and rotate about its own axis. For and aft rocking does not move the servo but a little rotation would be picked up by the gyro.

      hey fit
hmmm i'm actually quite happy with my tail just that it's still slightly too sensitive that's why i moved it back a bit, take a bit of the edge off at higher headspeed when i run nimh

you can have the remains of my blade, but thing is there's not much left after i cut it up into chunks here and there to make other stuff, dont think you could get a fin out of it
