Mini Inferno

Hi all,
Having fooled around with the mini inferno for a while, i find it's an interesting buggy that gives very good performance in terms of handling. stock power is nothing to talk about. 8 cells make it better.

Who is running the mini inferno in this forum? maybe we can meetup for a run sometime. I might be buying some hopups from online sites soon, is there anyone interested or has already hopped up their cars? any comments?

I got one too. Got a XSpeed motor for it, runnning on 6cells. Crapola.

Now that I've got a soldering iron and wires, I'll get some 2/3A batts and see what happens.

Mad armour, which brushless setup are u running?

I've got the Mamba 5300 set. However, there was initially an issue of matching pinions, coz the stock 380 motor that H8 uses has a shaft diameter of 2.3mm and Mamba's shaft is 2.0mm. There's also a question of getting the right pitch, as Kyosho uses 0.5mod.

Luckily I've got a 'Red Mega' brushless which has a 2.3mm shaft. So no pinion headache.

Anyway, I've since found out a few brands that share the same pitch.

1) Trex pinions.
2) Zoom/Zap pinions.
3) No confirmation but my friend used GWS pinions and his H8 is running well.

That's about the lower average for the RTR.
