Micro Mill - Scale unit mod

Influenced by Ah Goh , decide to go w digital scale upgrade first follow by CNC

Heres a pic of my micro mill setup <br> <br>

Remove a typical digimatic caliper, preparing to put on mill.... <br> <br>

Its an expensive lesson for me Damaged 2 x Carbide 4mm end mill to realise that the caliper is harden steel. I can mill the rivet w/o prob but when comes to the jaw, the carbide end mill barely cut. 2 Carbide end mill just sufficient to cut off 1 side of the jaw

The handheld grinder used to grind off the jaw. Check those jaws on the floor <br> <br>

Finally, properly ground to standby for fixture to mount on mill <br> <br>

Yeah almost done liao. Just need 1 last bracket and minor trimming

Yo muddy, just manage to get 2 caliper. Wait till I find 1 more then will the Z axis be retrofitted

Did some testing on the caliper few days back, the hardness of caliper jaw is 54 HRC The only cutter able to mill is those with special coating S$70++ each
