So "Power" is the main factor huh? :evil

looks like my decision by choice would end up like this....

1st - Savage SS 4.6 KIT :D
2nd - Savage SS KIT (S-25 engine) :)
3rd - Don't buy any MT at all :bigcry

Not forgetting the TruckZilla upgrade not .25 or .28 but a warpping .46 engine....and one inch more to the chasis..

Yes I have. the thing that put me off is that, none of the Traxxas are in Kit form. I enjoy putting things together. :D

I printed the manual for the savage and read thru it oredi, looks pretty neat! :love

Also read some gossip over at this link.

truckzilla is from hotbodies and so is the engine....its a monster
note that savage 46 kit and t.zilla kit are different......whs/swan hobby offers the savage kit with 2 chassis, huge wheels and a bit of extra everything...basically they just dump in the upgrades into a ss kit...
taising sellls the original 46 with hpi engine..........
difference: truckzilla : savage 46
4.8hp 2.9hp
1 inch longer
hotbodies engine original with anodised purple heatsink

(my buddy flip the bugger and the cast iron hotbodies heatsink chipped off)
try dropping it from human height but failed to even rustle the t.zilla.....scary..overall both are good buys...............price wise...very good deal if you can bargain..i shouldnt mention...

I wonder if I can get this in Taiwan / Taipei?
Will it be worth the effort to UPS/DHL the stuff?

After much thought, I have savagely plunged into the world of MT's.... :L The whole kit with reverse module, 2 cans of tamiya paint, Sanwa MX-3S Radio cost me about $11xx..... :D

After spending a total of 6 hours in the garage, I have put together the parts that is slowly starting to turn into a savage beast.... :D

I am completely impressed with the engineering that must have been explored inorder to produce a vehicle that has a structure that feels so rigid.

The servos that are installed are all Hitec

945 for steering
625 throttle/braking
475 reverse gear shift

Its feels fantastic to put the pieces together and slowy see the results of the emerging savage monster............ :L

Camber angle not correct for front wheels, better check before run, otherwise will flip over easily while turning, later your paint job will go to waste. just my 2 cents..

After the running in, and bit of tumbling, the MT has become 5 years old oredi..... :L

I love this MT man!,.....if I'm crazy enough, I might be getting one more... :D :D :D

I'm gonna play with the tuning and gear shift today...after work of course.

Oh, another thing, the reverse module was VERY handy especially in deadlocks and 3-point turns. :D :D :up

I suggest to those getting this model, don't miss the reverse module.

I thought I could take my time and do the building slowly, but it was just to tempting, one thing led to another....before I know it its over... :L :L

Another one for keeps sake..... maybe:rolleyes:

Like to ask has anyone used heavy duty grease in the centre gear box?. I noticed that mine has only light oil. Also realised according to the manual, only the front and rear gearboxes required the grease.
