I just bought a 1/10 tamiya rc car. I just run it for 4 times. On the fourth time I went to a carpark and play. I realised that the car will start to slide when I slow down and turn. is it normal. :bh The chasis I use it the tt-01. :ts

actually...TT-01 is widely used by lotsa drifters...so if u say slide, itz considered normal i think... :sneaky:

Hi, i suggest you check the "dog bones" connecting the wheel to the differential. My V1S started sliding around a few years back and i changed to foam tires. After that, it continued to slide around. I realised that one of the front dog bones was missing.

Is there any way to make it stop drifting. I also checked the whole car and everything is there.

fishtailing of your car can mean alot of things, from shocks, ride height, tyres, camber etc. I know that a TT01 cannot change the camber or toe. but i am sure stiffness of the shocks and maybe ride height can be changed.

ya can be changed. But should I change the shocks to stiffer or softer. And should the ride height be higher or lower. :bh

standard, rear height always higher than front. check this first. if all ok, then try to soften the rear shocks. and do 1 step, run the car to try, so you know which is giving you problem

Er..... slow down and turn, it slide?
Slide? Understeer? Oversteer? Fishtail?
Using what tyres?
Is tyre rubbing against the bumper when full turn?
Is ball bearings in the kunckles blinding?
Too much movement on the dogbone?
Did the front dip down so much that it scrap the floor when slow down and turn?

Sorrie too many questions.. hope can find the answers to it.

Hope this help :D

I dunno whether it fishtail understeer or oversteer. I mean the car the back will spin out of control. the front nvr slide but the back will slide and sometimes cause me to turn more than 180 degrees. Thats y when play on the track sometimes will go wrong way and crash into other cars.

The tires I use is the slick rubber tires that came with the car. The front only scrape the floor when I go over a rough place. The car is quite low. The rubber tires also not rubbing the bumper when in full turn.

that's fishtail :z

Hmmm... seems like something is binding.. when turning, the front stop to roll and the rear continues to roll. That would cause the rear end to get in front of the front end. Maybe you should check the diff and the dogbones. I dun know what is adjustable on the TT01 but I do know that a TT01 handles quite well in stock condition.

Hope this helps

It seems like the car dun like me. My brother's car also tt-01 handle very well. Turning is very easy. USe stock motor still can turn at 3/4 throttle and nvr fishtail or drift. It stick to the road.

Ya I found the problem already. The other time my brother's car and my car collided then his car roll over a few times then i thought my car got no problem since his car also got no problem. Hoever, Today I just realised that got one part of the cover is sticking inwards rubbing against the tires when I turn. :bh :z
