I'm typically flying R/C microhelis. Was really a fan of the leaning Rider series from kyosho last time... just standing outside toykar and staering for 30 minutes... Anyone knows whether people race electric bike here in Singapore? Are these bikes cheap to maintain and acquire? What would i need? It seems that the TT bike is a hot favourite now...

what i know is this. for the kyosho bike, you will need a esc/rx unit from futaba that is really micro. that will cost like 170 if i am not wrong. I think the servo and the batt is std size. not very sure.

when i was planning to get it last year, many told me to get the TT as they claimed it was easier to ride then the kyosho.

I have not seen any races but I have seen a GP bike from toykar, came with sirio .12 and sirio pipe....wah, that was cool

Here's some link for you

Actually why i'm keen on the kyosho electric bikes is that the rider leans into the turns. It not only is cool but helps in judgement if it's some distance away... I actually asked Sam at hobby link last Nov. But then Sam said Kyosho not making anymore of these but hobby link has last ~10 sets. But i see it is still being played at RCg... plus all the urls u all gave somemore... So how? this bike can buy or not? got supplies or not? I've not found an open carpark but i reckon it shouldn't be that difficult to find?

Here's my take in this.....

Kyosho is 1/8 size, the bike is much smaller.

Selling at toykar at USD89

http://www.toykar.com/viewprod.php?pid=153

Requires a MCR at USD91.7

http://www.toykar.com/viewprod.php?pid=380

Total after conversion is about SGD300.

Rotor is selling the 1/5 size thunder tiger ducatti for SGD416, with 5% discount, it is SGD395

http://shop.rotor.com.sg/show-detail.asp?prodid={F7407D36-438C-4551-A487-C9F801164BFA}

The difference is SGD95

The TT bike already comes rtr with a batt (not that its a fantastic batt).
Rotor and BK both have parts for this bike, also they have hop up parts for this bike.

Kyosho bike, i think parts is only available from sam or from toykar.

Personally, i prefer to go for the TT. Though i agree, the sliding rider is damn cool, but a bigger red bike rtr seems even more attractive

hmm like that the TT makes a lot of monetary sense.... I really hope kyosho will revive it sometime in the future...

last quoted price for the kit only was 185 if not wrong. When I was Pri 6, it was 175 at Hobby Bug :hammer I still remember... because that year i wanted to start R/C but couldn't afford it.... Cars were already $500 plus... I loved the tamiya tank-> $800... and helis were 4K and up.

I hope someone racing this bike in SG now appears sial... at least can see see and look look..... maybe most SG people find bike not as fun because will always Peng if never pay attention..... :D
