Li-Po Battery Issue

Can someone advise me if I will need to discharge my Li-Po battery first before I can charge againt.

Is there memory effect for this type of battery.

Or I can actually charge anytime I want, to maintain full charge before I fly.

Li-po battery does not suffer memory effect like nimh battery. Infact the battery degrade overtime becoz of the corrosion on the poles. The degrade only affected by temperature and the age of the battery. However special care must be taken in order to make full good use of it. It cannot be overcharge nor over discharge. May exploit if that happens.

simple answer

no need to discharge.


just charge it at 1 c rate.

example, 1500mah pack charge at 1.5amps
1700mah pack charge at 1.7amps
