It's a 1/10 stadium truck. Better handling than the MT's due to lower CG but less 'trashable' than MT. HPI makes quality stuffs. :)

I guess I will stick with Savage 25.
But it is going to be quite difficult to bring it back from HK becos of the size.

I dun think they will let me hand carry it to the plane becos of the size. And if I check in, I scared they might mis-handle it. It's not cheap, U know?
Maybe take them apart and house it into my luggage. Tat's the best way I guess. :D

:L :L :L You worry too much. Should be OK lah. It's a kit and everything is packed nicely inside. If you're afraid, pack it into a slightly bigger box, and stuff foam, bubble sheets, etc inside lor.

My T-Maxx RTR came this way all the way from USA with not a scratch. :D

So you order your T-Maxx from state is it? You ordered it online? If yes, there is a few online hobby shop which I plan to order at first, but dunno if it will turn out to be more expensive. If there is no hiden costs then it will be much cheaper then HK too. :D

I ordered mine from Tower Hobbies. No extra hidden costs. You pay wat's indicated in the price, plus freight minus any discounts. However, you can't order Savage or any other HPI stuffs in the net, coz HPI has prohibited Towers from exporting HPI stuffs.

Wowww
I just email to Tower Hobbies this morning as I can't order the HPI from them. I am still waiting for their reply. So how much you pay for the Handing fees and also Flight charges? And how long it takes them to delivery to your house?

Just go through the buying part, click any kit you like, and a window will come out for you to calculate the freight. As long as you have not typed your cc no in and press confirm, there's no sale. :D

I took the cheapest freight. 6 weeks before I saw my T-Maxx. :)

I wonder they let me hand carry to the plane.
If I buy just the kit, I can put it into my luggage, but the RTR is too hugh to put it in. :bh

You'll really need to squeeze the kit in your hand lugguage, and I'm not sure they let metal stuffs pass the security. Make sure you leave all tools in your check-in bag.

If you buy RTR, you can remove the wheels and body and pack the chassis in your lugguage case. Body you can hand carry, sure no problem.

Frankly speaking, I really don't think you have to worry checking the box in. It's well protected and the MT's not that fragile.

dont forget your fuel, fuel bottle and glow heater!!!!
last but not least 8 aa cell for the radio and 4aa cells for the truck.

warning do not use 4 AA rechargerable batts ... they do not have enough voltage as compared to 4 AA normal dry cells.

rechargeable is only 1.25 V each

normal dry cell is 1.5V

so 4 AA recharge :sneaky: cells is only 5v
and 4 AA dry is 6V

I know Trinity make damn good MT but I'm not going for tat price. :nono

Fuel cannot bring back, sure 'choong koong' at the customs! :L :L :L

Another option, which I prefer, for the Rx batt is the rechargable 5 cell NiMh pack. :)

Oi! The stick pack (6 Sub C cells) are different from reciever pack hor. Dun buy the wrong one. Just tell that guy 'reciever pack' and he'll know wat to give you. Just make sure it fit into the reciever box of your MT. Some reciever pack is arranged in straight pack and some in hump (3 below, 2 on top) pack. Just get the one that fits.
