Question On Radius Cutting On Mill

Just got a lathe + Mill attachment. Thank Mike!

What can I use to cut radius, arc, etc on flat square piece of aluminium?

an end mill bit couple with a metal hand file will do a nice job.
on the lathe require more work, but still can be done.
for cnc-ed, its just a drawing away.

    enjoy

Hi, you can also cut radius if you have a turn table.

No turn table yet. Too ex lah..but I figure a way to do it amid slow and boring but work..and yes, a handfile is in order.

while surfing some time back, i saw a guy did up an adapter mount for his 3 jaw chuck, cnc way. very simple idea but works.

the jaw chuck sits on the diy adapter, and the stepper motor shaft is tighten to the adapter using screw. no gears at all

light cut will be ok, heavy cut require some additional reinforcement as all the load is on the motor shaft.

Very cool to be able to come out with your own tooling and stuffs.

Me still learning. Skill Level not even at 1 yet.

Everyday, I learn something new on my machines.

Today, I can do nice nice cut with the "shaving" coming off in one long piece without the tool path showing...cool!
