            the hobby have improve as fast as airplane has evolve..actually evolve is the wrong word, plane change so fast...methamophosis is better.

            Look closely at the faces of the model owner, one can see they are proud and full of enthusiasm. Since they dont fly the planes, I guess they are more model airplane engineer than pilots. Spectacular no less.

            If only they can see what we fly now..turbines and all.

            Imagine what the Model pilots be flying 50 to 80 years from now. Probably tranforming planes( starsream) with full autopilot and auto land. wont that be cool....

            cheers
            ps, anybody have video or pictures of model airplane in Singapore from the 50's

                    ha ha I see your point...but when you are flying a 1/4 scale f-14 tomcat with super scale finish..one would need all the help he could get.

                    May be not full autopilot..CWS function would be great. Like what gyro does for heli.

                    To impress the judges, single engine approach followed by single engine go around....with scale afterburners!!!

                          Probably they will do a lot of FPS piloting and have radio ranges up to 5km.

                          And yeah, auto pilot is coming...

                          A new month means new OSHWA certifications. May brought a robot arm, a RISC-V badge, and a windmill SAO!

                          Wonder why these guys just didn't buy a glider off the rack and retrofit it.

                          On another end;

                          This guy attached a glider to a weather balloon and it took high altitude (where the horizon is curved?) photos of Earth.
