Local ETEC importer??!!

Hey guys,

There's this guy called Min who's imported Etecs straight from Korea..
He advertises on http://user.auctions.shopping.yahoo....user/semur2003

So far his
2s 1200 at $38
3s 1200 at $65
1-2S Apache charger at $40
1-4S Apache charger at $75..

I would say they are very competitive prices and we
all know how well the Etecs perform don't we?

I've invited him to come to this forum and advertise his wares
for our benefits and for the newbies wanted to move to LiPos..

Yups.. coz he told me himself is Etecs..
And they come w/o connectors but with silicon wires..
He also know lithium batts shld use silicon wires..
Heh.. heard some local lipo packs come with shit wires?

He say he import from Korea with the Apache chargers..
He's kinda a importer then he re-export to Thailand..

His fren bro owns some hobby part factory also..
But i forget what name le..
And he also does JETI brushless ESCs coz he know the distributor overseas or something..

Talked with him on the phone for abt 20mins..
Very nice guy..

He even offered to come to our funfly to demo his 1.8kg Funfly plane..
Sounds like a behemoth compared to my Feda..

But anyone knows how to verify Etecs?
I think Ace n Fit best pple to check them..
Coz they strip so many Etecs before!! :

Yes... Its very important to look for the code on the cells... Codenamed E . T . E. C.......

yes i think you better double check the ID of the cell

daniel's shop is having a difficulty trying to import etec because the koreans dun understand english very well, and the last time they quoted a probable price was plus minus $90 after currency convertion (its an issue compared to 55 dollars aircraftworld import price, but thats another issue), but either way, its kinda too low a price to be true is it not?

The prices are believable........in anycases just strip the shrinkwrap can verify... The ETECS now considered "old tech" cells so their prices are quite low nowadays. The new ETECS HP are coming out very soon better wait for that

Haha come to think of it, I don't recall seeing any 'etec' name on the cells when I did the splitting.....

Upon reading your post, I take a look at my cells and you're right there's no Etecs printed on them!
All along I thought there is....
There's only a "1200" between the +VE and -VE and below them is "POxxxxxxxxx"
Can't verify the cells then... so better be weary

But i think 2 packs of lipo enuff for a regular flier?

i think i would need three to four lipo to give me a full mojo

of coz now i have only one. anyone i think we shld verify whether all these lipo come from US or koera. my source is christoper from "that hobbyshop". he says all brand of lipo from korea, coz they have the technology as well as the cheap labour cost. how true all these is still yet to be fully verified. maybe that how aircraftworld.com can get it that cheap.

the lipos are guaranteed ETECS - imported directly from S.Korea. Those Kokams and ETECS that are available in US are also made in S. Korea. same source that i am importing.

there is no printing of ETECS on the cells - only some codes. assured that they are ETECS. sold a pack of 2S, 1200 and charger to Koh, a heli flyer in Lavender. He used them and was very happy about them. kindly check this out with him.

currently, i have the following stock left: -

1/ 2S, 1200, 52g, 6 packs (siicone cable, without JST connector)

2/ 3S, 1200, 77g, 5 packs (siicone cable, without JST connector)


3/ 1 - 2 cells Apache chargers, 3 sets, 12V input, variable outputs 80, 110, 250, 700, & 1200mAh

4/ 1 - 4 cells Apache chargers, 5 sets, 10.5 - 15V input, variable outputs 250, 700, 1200, 1700, 2000, & 2500mAh

The above items are meant for exhibition in Malaysia. But if any friends here want them, let me know.

I am arranging a demonstration of an electric Piper to be flown with lipoly in Tampines flying site at 1600 hrs on this saturday (17 April). Would confirm by this friday at the latest.

yes - if demand increases. depends on my oversea customers for the moment.

also, might bring the HP (10C - 20C) cells in. these are already in production. 1700mAh would be in production this month. So, if there are demands for them, i would bring these in too.

If i could get good feedbacks on requirements, i could work out the best prices in the region for our flyers here.

So, all members, give me your feedbacks and i would work out something for the benefits of everyone.

update: i am left with 3 nos. of 1 - 4 cell Apache chargers now.
the quantities for the rest of the items are still the same.
