EDP-50 DIY Brush-to-Brushless Conversion MOD?

Still browsing the nooks and crannies of Flying-Hobby when I came upon this link:

Still can't understand chinese and running the link in babelfish also yields a total alien languange with a mix of english but from the pictures, it appears to be a "DIY EDP-50 Brushed-to-Brushless" motor conversion. With a little bit of imagination on how to mount this on the tail of a micro-heli, we would get a brushless high authority tail motor. Downside is you will need another brushless ESC.

But I think this DIY mod on the 50XC motor has better applications for small wingspan planes.

that's brilliant, an ips motor turned arount and made into a rotating can brushless !

Whoever thought of it first is simply great, coming up with such a simple obvious and brilliant idea.

its a great idea but i suppose there maybe great penalties for getting the rpm that a tail needs with such a motor in such a config

Actually my compadres,
The chinese there is taiwan chinese and sounds perfectly okay to me. It just a conversion of the IPS.... I think it's a F***ing brilliant idea.

Looks like we've got good brains on this side of the world too! Two thumbs up.
