difference between Lipo and Lion

Hi i just bought a swallow Charger and 2 lipo batts http://www.modelflight.com.au/rc_mod...ry_charger.htm

can you tell me if i can charge my lipos with that????
the guy at the shop said i could but the charger dosnt say any thing about lipos it only talks about lions

just read from a mag yesterday that li ions cannot give high current. its therefore currently limited to indoor and smaller battery packs

Why are u screaming?
Ur topic asks about diff between li-ion n li-po and not about ur charger..
I never blame Brandon for not answering ur charger question,
but he answered ur topic question..

Ur swallow charger should charge li-ion/li-po fine according to the website..
Since both li-ion n li-po uses cc/cv charging..
Juz monitor ur packs first few charges to make sure it's working
whenever u get a new charger..

Btw, where n how much did u get the charger?
Seems like a cheap alternative to the tahmazo t10!

U can hold SHIFT and type to turn off caps-lock effect..
Get a new keyboard.. no one is going to reply to u if u keep screaming..

Charge at 1C or lower rate for ur Lipo..
if ur lipo is a 1700mah, charge at 1.7A
if ur lipo is a 1200mah, charge at 1.2A
if ur lipo is a 900mah, charge at 0.9A

U get the pic? and also get the correct cell count!
Where u got the charger? u're from AU?
