My office is looking for:
Desktop Support Specialist
The incumbent will demonstrate the ability to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for IT supported software and hardware. Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain technical matter clearly and accurately is a must.
Responsibilities
• Resolve technical problems reported through the trouble ticket process
• Troubleshoot basic networking and connectivity-related issues
• Demonstrates the ability to install, configure, and maintain Windows XP Professional in a Windows Server 2003 network environment
• Documentation of support issues and resolution and solution guides
• Maintain knowledge-base
Requirement
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Possess at least 1 year experience in providing Desktop/Help Desk Support.
• Hands-on experience with basic Network Administration and an understanding of IP networks including routing and sub-netting (Basic TCP/IP).
• Experience working with Backup System/VMWare/SQL/Linux is a plus
• Effective networking troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written communication skills (creating and maintaining documentation will be required).
• Good verbal proficiency in both English and Mandarin is a must
• Possess creativity, flexibility and professionalism, with a "can do" attitude.
• Be willing and open to learn and grow with the company
• Keen sense of customer service, logical and methodical approach to problem solving
• Ability to explain technical matters clearly and precisely
• Provide technical recommendation for hardware and software issues
• Creation of instructional documentation and technical reference for end users and manage personal workload and meet the Help Desk service level agreement
• Weekend and off-hours on-call support may be required.
