Aiyah... I was busy with work now mah... Doing Multitasking Right Now.

If u really looking for 12V 5A, then go and get those regulated Power Supply from Sim Lim Tower. I would say no point wasting your money on it. Go hunt for notebook adapter. Some adapter is 12V.

          Nic,

          3 choices lor..

          1. Notebook power supplies about $20-30
          2. DC power supplies, like the NewStar seies, that's wat i using..
(9v-15v, 3A max) for my current model.. $27+
          3. DC Regulated power supply, can cost anywhere from $40 to $70..

            NextStar 3A will get burnt...

I think I go hunt for a notebook adaptor...
the only reason preventing me from getting a Triton is the PS...

            thanks guys

I use a 12V, 3.5A adapter that cost me around $50. No problem with it as is recommended by the manufacturer.

Anyone able to help Edwin on the question on lead acid battery?
                I have seen them all.

Edwin... it is just my estimate..

I looking for a power supply because I am tired of "double charging"....

                    Step1:
                    - Charge dry cell over night (my charger takes about 20 hours to charge up the dry cell from 10.8V)
                    Step 2:
                    - Charge the Lipo... (I only charge a few cells then the dry cell go dead)...

Initially I though of getting the Hobbicco charger that takes 110V... but after reading the specs.. I think I am happier with the Triton.. it seems more flexible.. (can charge LiPos up to 4S, and NiHm-5A.)

I am still happy with Apache... but charging 1 cell/hr is a little too slow.. so I going for a 2nd charger.
                    huh

I had been using a adaptor 12V 3.5A ..... some sort of equipment adaptor.

Don get those multi voltage regulator from sim lim.... the 12V setting will give u 16V and the 9V probably give you 11.5V

I was told there is an electronic shop at Pearl center shopping selling cheap notebook adaptor which work wonders.

oh ok... than by using the lead acid battery which is providing an avg of 7A will it be damaging to the charger or the lipo? 1 more question is it necessary to get a multimeter to constantly check the voltage of our lipo?

Apache comes with a new charger with ability to charge nicads, niMH n lipoly.

I don't think you would need to constantly check the voltage of the lipo when you are charging the pack with Apache charger. The charger would stop charging when the voltage reach 4.2V.
