BEWARE of member: 9VDXN - Dixon

I posted a thread couple of days back trying to sell my complete heli set for beginners (see thread below).

9VDXN (Dixon) pm me immediately asking me for price and then sms me continuously requesting for a lot of details about what I have to offer (mode & freq of Tx, tail servo type, etc). At the same time, he claimed that if I can let go at his offer price, he'll close the deal with me immediately.

So after MANY correspondences betw myself and Dixon, we both agreed to close the deal at S$1000, delivery to take place over this weekend (30, 31st Oct 04).

But when I sms him again on Fri to confirm time and venue, he said his computer clashed on him the day before and hence he now needs the money to fix his computer instead of honouring the deal with me.

My point is: why waste people's time engaging in so much discussion when he (Dixon) never had the intention of following-thru the purchase in the first place?

Does any other members have similar experiences with him? Thanks.

Look buddy...I always honour my deals, so don't come and flame me in this forum....If I can't afford that budget to get your heli due to last minute constraints, what do you expect me to do? Rob a bank??!

I admit that your deal at $1000 for a 9CHP & shuttle plus with GY401 gyro is a freaking good deal that I AM SURE TO GET because I had wanted a better TX and the GY401 gyro...I'm sure everyone else would grab for it as well.

If I'm unsincere about the deal, why do you think i put up my Eclipse7 for sale even before we close the deal?!!!!


Grow up pls, and understand that there priorities in life....

If u had maintained a good attitude about this, I'd definitely buy it from u next month when I get enough budget for it....I don't print papers with Yusof Ishak's face on them!

Dixon is a really very nice guy lor..
Somemore, he's a "lao jiao" in our forum like many of us here..
and $1k is not a small sum, so he has urgent need for the money..

Pple do meet with unforeseen circumstances once in awhile..
And computer crashes are the worst!!
When they come, it worst than heli crash lor..
Coz no money can bring back dead data..
Well.. then again, not really.. i can do recovery of dead data sometimes..
Juz need the right s/w.. Need any help Dixon?

And some mod please remove Dixon's HP number..
later pple call him wan to buy backside..

Thanks Phiber, no worries......some people just print money, so $1k to them is probably peanuts....you got to understand their position...they see money differently.

Alas, I'm not in the 'printing business'.
But i do use Macs...My screen is dead, so I need to blow some budget on a new lcd replacement.....no problems with data.

Without my computer, I cannot work, when I cannot work, I cannot earn money....when I no money, I cannot buy heli....so I just gotta face it and miss the good deal.



(PS: I'm not a lao jiao with heli...just that I post more in this forum chit-chatting, complaining, whining, and sharing with the people here. )

No money to buy G5 nor the new cool 20" cinema displays lar.....
Just settled with the cheaper LCDs that can take DVI inputs.....Would love to get the 20" cinema display though...but that alone can cost me a whole new R50SE with PCM 9X, GY401 or better & digital servos!!!!!

Maybe still enough to buy spares for a couple of crashes.

Yah ... know Dixon personally and traded before also. Don't think he is that kind of person.

Can't say that when it comes to money matters, there will be no hard feelings ... afterall, money is the root of all evil.

But it also doesn't discriminate Why don't u put it up for sale again?

Yeah.....he could have place it up for sale again, and if he can wait, he probably can fetch a better deal...And if he could wait and be a little more polite, I am certainly be able to buy it off him just 15 days later when I get my salary....

Phiber, u got money u go buy first lah...I write u a personal contract to buy it off from u in good condition at $1k next month.

U'll get to play with the heli for a abt month...sufficient for 3-4 weekends of flight... If u can squeeze in more flight time, then it's your luck....Only catch is that you'll have to sell it to me in good flying condition.

Or I can still squeeze out $400...so I can take the TX first, u keep the heli and have fun with it for a month with your own TX!


I'm serious about buying this heli at such a good deal, but after such a personal attack from this immature HUMBLE guy, my attitude to the good deal becomes like buying things from Champion....Cheap, but if u give me free, I also dun want!
As if I owe him $$ like dat...rather go buy a new one!
