The Hornet F18A is a DIY plane. It is using a EPP 6mm Depron or BlueCorn foam on this F18A. You can find this DIY project on RCGroup.com there is a stap by stap you need to follow. Just wondering if their could install the F18A with twin eletric ducted fan like the GWS EDF-75 then a propller? It will be more better in looks.

Yes! Ryan the flying is very good indeed ,Since it is a DIY plane so I think the cost is in you,How much you're willing to put in this plane. The foam from is F18A used 6mm EPP just wonder if 5mm EPP can works or not?
